I have upgraded to v0.3.1 and since then consistently have issues with my internet radio and LMS client streams (these are the only ones I used).
When I start a stream on one of my zones, more often that not it will start playing ok, and then after a few seconds a second instance of the stream starts playing, slightly out of sync, so I hear a very nasty “echo” effect.
Usually stopping and starting the stream resolves it, sometimes it might take a few restarts before it plays correctly.
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing anything like this? Once it resolves itself it will play fine for hours.
It sounds like it might be related to Echo when chaging radio stations - #4 by stamate but this is happening with the same stream (including LMS client) playing over the top of itself, so not necessarily when changing radio stations.
Hey Ben!
Thanks for reaching out on this issue, I’ve just reflected it in our github here
Would you mind sending us some logs to our support@micro-nova.com email if this issue comes up again?
Also for further information gathering, are you starting your stream with the webapp, or with a home assistant / other direct api call integration?

I posted this on the Github issue, but wanted to mention it here as well.
I’ve experienced this issue as well and was able to prevent it from happening by commenting out lines 208 and 225 of /home/pi/amplipi-dev/streams/runvlc.py (the lines are both: restart_vlc()).

I’m also suffering from this and it happened pre update.
I’m exclusively using the app and it often takes a few attempts starting a source before it plays correctly.
What streaming sources are causing the most issues? Internet radio seams to be the main one.
Hi folks!
We just released 0.3.4, which very likely fixes this. If you wouldn’t mind updating and letting us know here if this is fixed for you, we’d be very appreciative
Thanks for your continued support! Rock on

Yep, I have yet to have any issues since upgrading. Thanks very much!!
