Those two socials haven’t had a lot of activity yet, but we intend to have some announcements over time that don’t belong here such as our presence at various tech expos and teasers for upcoming updates.
I’ve been with MicroNova for just over a year, mostly as a dev on internal tools like our inventory management system and I’m currently working on a customer relations manager. You’ll note that both of my main projects are focused on improving consistency and speed with support tasks and order fulfillment; that is my overall goal in this new position as well.
I’ve also dipped my toe into Amplipi a few times, mostly on the new frontend and on the upcoming LMS metadata update (see my particular tasks with anything that is for @SteveMicroNova in the updates list)
It’s worth noting that Lincoln is still one of our head devs on Amplipi. The community and company have both grown to the point of deserving a specialized focus; we needed someone to specifically spearhead these external relations and that’s what I’m here to do.
Secondarily, I will not suddenly be the only person you’re able to talk to on this board or via the support@micro-nova.com email. The rest of our team is still present and able to help when it comes to things that require their specific expertise.
I’d say the new interface skews too far to the mobile side. The experience in a non-mobile browser is a little rough, but I don’t use it that often so it’s not a big deal for me.
Glad to hear the update went well! The new UI is definitely mostly geared towards mobile, as that’s about 90-95% of usecases. We’re planning to tidy up the desktop mode too, but we’d like to get community feedback first.
If you’re willing to take the time, I’d ask that you give us a review and post it under the Feedback topic (This goes for everyone who reads this, as well)
