Homeassistant - HomeKit Switch?

I have the HACS Integration installed, and have been using it inside HA since August or so- no real problems, all seems to be fine for the most part.

I’m wondering if anyone else has exposed this to HomeKit through HA? When I do, it looks like the zones, groups and sources get sent to HomeKit as switches, but it’s hard to tell what the switches are actually capable of doing. Does anyone know how they work? It looks like zones get two switches by default and I’m not sure what each of them do.

It would be next level if we would be able to control the volume of zones or groups as well as somehow select which source we would want the group or zone in. That way you could tell Siri what’s up.

Anyone here know anything about it? Essentially everything that gets exposed to HomeKit really doesn’t do anything, and it would be awesome to be able to utilize this feature.

With the new HACS release, has anyone figured out a better way to configure some automations or triggers to make this work better in HomeKit? My initial thought would be hoping to go into each room I have in HomeKit and select a source and then turn the speakers on/control volume.
