Volume change from the Spotify app does not take any effect. Anybody knows whats up?

That issue is here, complete with a minor history lesson as to why we removed that functionality temporarily and how we intend to fix this in the (hopefully) near future.
The short version is that when we initially swapped Spotify clients from one that suddenly stopped working to one that did work, the volume change support on the new one was low enough quality that we thought it’d be better to simply remove that for the time being and readd it eventually as the underlying client improved over time.
that sucks, maybe you should de-list support for SpotifyConnect (or add asterix at least in the meantime)
