Spotify no longer functions as a target in the App

This morning I lost Spotify. It shows up on the Spotify app as a target but fails to process audio. It’ll “connect” and try to play audio and then after a while it’ll realize it’s not connected.

Rebooted the amplipi, no change.

Any ideas?

At this point we need to see what’s going on behind the scenes. Can you ssh in to amplipi and run journalctl -f to print out what’s going on? This will show any logging that happened after that command is run.

And of course, like many things software, it works completely fine now and I can’t replicate the issue (I really did try multiple times and rebooted and multiple different Spotify clients!).

If it happens again I will ssh in and run the journal while attempting to connect to create logs.

We are planning on adding some simpler log access in the next release to make this process easier. We are also working on a more up to date Spotify client that is probably a release out.

No worries at all. The AmpliPi has been super stable and fantastic. I blame Spotify for whatever issue existed. :slight_smile:
