DLNA stream is not working

I have a synology NAS device with media server installed. All my other device on the network can access the multimedia from this, except the Amplipi. I can see the Amplipi in the device list but it doesn’t work. I checked the logs on the media server and nothing really stands out there. Is there a set of logs on the amplipi where I can see what is going on withe dlna stream?

I think the issue you are having is due to how we setup DLNA. Initially we set it up to act as a media server; the idea was that you could use a DLNA based android app to play/control the music played since AmpliPi doesn’t really have music selection capabilities yet.

Obviously this is not what you want. For your setup (and may others) we need to add a DLNA client that can play songs from your DLNA server.

Sorry you are having trouble with this. I added an issue for this on Github: DLNA Client · Issue #273 · micro-nova/AmpliPi · GitHub

Thanks, yes that is the issue. Any suggestions for a dlna app?

The app we tested DLNA with was Hi-Fi Cast.
