# Update failed, Amplipi no longer running

Oh no sorry to hear that! We definitely need a better procedure for handling failures like this. Without a lot of back and forth the simplest fix for this is to re-image your pi: [re-imaging your AmpliPi](https://amplipi.discourse.group/t/re-imaging-the-raspberry-pi/46)

Before doing that you may want to copy your configuration file off of the pi. It is located in `/home/pi/amplipi-dev/house.json`.
