# Spotify device no longer visible after 0.1.7 upgrade

As the title states.

Things were working will prior to the upgrade, but after the upgrade I’m no longer seeing the AmpliPi as a speaker to send audio to from any of my Spotify instances.

I’ve tried taking Spotify away from all of the channels and the readding. I’d read somewhere that would restart a service? … I’ve also added a new Spotify stream and not seen any change. Any thoughts?

We haven’t seen this on our units. Before ssh-ing in an looking at the output generated by Spotify ( really librespot ) I would try 2 things:

## Restarting

1. Hard restart AmpliPi by unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.
2. Select your Spotify as an input.
3. Does Spotify show up now?

## Updating again

1. Go to the update site ( gear icon → Updates → Check for Updates)
2. The site should say your software is up to date if it doesn’t, do a hard refresh ( ctrl-F5 in most browsers).
3. Click the **Older releases** Tab
4. Select 0.1.7 and click **Update**
5. Stay on the page and wait for the update to finish, it will go back to the AmpliPi webapp when done
6. Select your Spotify as an input
7. Does Spotify show up now?

I had already tried the hard restart with no change. Redoing the upgrade now. I’ll report back. If need be, I can get you an ssh tunnel into the host.

Redoing the upgrade resolved it. Thanks!
